The main findings are summarised below: – People living in cities experienced higher alcohol-related mortality in comparison to those surviving in rural areas. Cities accounted for about 80 percent of the total human population analysed and 85 percent of all alcohol-related deaths, while villages accounted for approximately 9 percent of the populace and 6 percent of alcohol-related deaths.
